David then spent many years working with Ray Barker at Barkers Men’s Clothing in Newmarket, their “flagship” store. As a commission-based salesperson in a competitive environment he quickly became the top salesperson for the company. His easy manner along with his skills in communication and negotiation came to the fore here balancing consultations between both husbands, wives, men, women and wallets! (if you can sell clothing to men in the 1990s you can sell almost anything!).
The transition to Real Estate was a natural progression. This balancing act takes place in the most high pressure moments that are contained in selling what is generally a person’s most valuable asset, their home.
